About us
We are a Family Oriented Church made up of primarily professionals in their World of Work. The
diversity includes a Business Owners, an Airline Pilot, Finance Department of a large company,
Insurance Claim Personnel, the Legal Department of a Business Real Estate Company, High
School Teacher, a Farmer, Chief of Staff in the Political Arena, a couple who are in Sales,
Communicator & Author, Corporate Tainer/Career Consultant. That diversity brings a great
number of skills and callings that make us work. We are very tight with a lot of care for one another and are tight. But we are very inclusive to our guest and those new to our church. Join in and you will find not only great people but a wonderful group to worship with.

Rev. Murray & Heather Comber
Murray & Heather have shared in ministry together for over 45 years. During various seasons of life, they have each switched up on the Lead position. Currently, Murray is the Lead Pastor. The Love of both people and 'the church' has been a driving passion, both receiving a call to ministry at a very young age. Heather has been a Conference Speaker and an Author while Murray, took some time off to get his ticket in Career & Work Counselling, a tool which he has used to work in business and church helping build both Leadership and Teams. He also carries the music of the church. Their desire is simple..to see Wellesley Alliance Church grow spiritually and numerically and become a resource to those in need in Wellesley and surrounding communities. They have two adult children, Allyssa (and Chris) and Rev. Dr. Justin Comber (and Brittany). They have also been blessed with four wonderful grandkids...all boys, the pride and joy of their life.

Dan Gascho
Daniel lives in Wellesley township with his wife Deborah and has two sons currently in university. He operates an exterior renovation company and enjoys strong coffee and the outdoors. At church, Dan works our Sound, A/V and oversees Church Maintenance

Cindy Shantz
Cindy and her husband Larry, who own a farm close by, have been fixtures in the church for many years. They were married there, raised their four kids there and have 3 lovely granddaughters they enjoy spending time with. Needless to say, they are Foundational. Cindy who works in the financial department of Erb Transport has had oversight of the WACC Books which she has handled with integrity. She was saved in a Children’s Church service and so has a heart for children’s ministry and Missions in general, which are both promoted at WACC. Larry faithfully maintains our outdoors.

Chris Keep
Chris is an Airline Pilot. He is married to Allyssa and they have two boys, Grayer & Sully and all play a very active role at WACC. His main focus is making sure our technology is always working well. But what he does goes beyond that in that he is a very ‘handy’ person. The Keep family really enjoys camping on Lake Huron.
Our Services – 10:30 AM Sunday Morning
We are a Very Welcoming Church.
When you walk through the doors you will be greeted with a smile, a welcome and a handshake and usually some conversation. We are very casual and laid back, but we take our worship service seriously.
Our Worship
Musically our worship services are quite a mix. Yes, we sing hymns and choruses, both old & new, led by Murray on the piano and Mark on the violin, so it is a gentle conservative style. But we also sing newer music and the more contemporary songs with lyrics by known artists put on the screen via video. We are open to having others who are musical, once settled, to join in as we grow.
Announcements & Hollywood Squares
Announcements are brief as they are sent on email on Saturday morning in a weekly update. We also have this thing we do called ‘Hollywood Squares’ that began when our Zoom services were Online during Covid. Each family had the opportunity to check in with Life Updates, Prayer Requests and Praise reports. When we returned to live in-house services, we continued to do that. Visitors are given the opportunity to share but it isn’t required. We just don’t want people to feel left out. It is a great way to get to know us and us you.
Kid’s Church
Kid’s church happens during the message in the lower auditorium. They are our pride and joy, and we have a lot of them. Our teachers rotate and there is always an exciting curriculum that is highly engaging and usually involves some kind of craft. Sometimes in the summer it is outside using the Play Center is part of the program to tap into their energy.
The Preaching
Murray is a teacher and loves the Word of God, sharing from his heart on topics that are both needed and relevant to everyday Christian Living, usually using PowerPoint. They are often in a Series and not ‘one off’. Between September and June, Mark Fisher teaches every second Wednesday in an interactive discussion on key biblical matters at 8:00 PM on Zoom, allowing parents to join in after they put their kids to bed.
Fellowship Time
After the service we go downstairs and chat over Coffee and a Snack.
During the Summer
During vacation time with many away, we often meet downstairs around tables with coffee and a snack before rather than after. Also, on the three Sundays of the Long Weekends (July, August & September), if the weather is good, we move the morning service to the evening and meet around the Fire Pit with each family bringing their own Hot Dogs and/or marshmallows. The conversation is wonderful. Yes, our summers are very relaxed.
COME and do Church with us!
